Best CPU. Compare 285K vs 14900K

I've not had the luxury of having two machines with both processors, but looking at specs and what has been written in the press about the Ultra 9 285X the actual user difference you would see over say a 14900K is minimal for Premiere Pro.

I'm using an Intel 13900K still and the major upgrade I did was to go to an Nvidia 4080 Super GPU.

Intel QuickSync still important for me however, using H265 and H264 footage in projects. Both CPUs you mention offer it.

If you are using the GPU for rendering tasks the CPU is less significant anyway.

The NVidia 5000 series in now available as well.

Paying attention to disk access times and using fast NVMe solid state drives I see as more important.

If you are getting a brand new system equipped with Ultra 9 CPUs then it would make more sense to go with the newer product, but my main focus would be buying the best GPU you can afford and enough fast RAM on the Motherboard.

Whatever CPU you go for - ensure you have a good quaility Water Cooler  that can take away the heat from the CPU if its running at high clock speeds.

For information, I have checked Puget Systems scores.  They're pretty close.  But I want real world experience.
