Best Mac for Video Editing

Hello,

I would like to buy a new Macbook Pro for my work. So I would like to know, whether I should wait
for the Macbook 16" with the M1X - CPU or should I buy a Macbook with an Intel i9 processor?

I work with 4k material and use often after effects.

So is there anyone with an recommendation? Do you work with an Macbook and have any experience with the M1 - Chip?

Best Regards

Max

I don't know if this includes Mac or only Windows... but several links that "may" help

Tough choice. M1 variant MacBook Pros could be 6 months away to a year (or more).

And we won't know how these machines will perform and any early issues they'll have until after they arrive.

The question to ask yourself is - can you live with what you have in the short term or do you 'need' something now. Business purchases should be based on current need.

I elected to go with current fastest (intel) MacBook Pro 16" mid last year but before we knew about M1. Don't regret that decision ... but I would also be in two minds about now had I held off.  So in short, yep, tough choice.
