Best way to utilize internal SSD with Pr

Hello!  I am adding an internal (PCI Express) SSD to my machine and I would like to know the best way to get the most out of it for Creative Suite.  Should I store all project and media files on the SSD?  Or should I use it as a scratch drive?  Or both?  I have a standard 7200rpm HDD, and now I will have a 1TB SSD available on the system as well.

Any advice is appreciated!

Thank you!

This isn't a dedicated machine... It's just my work machine that I have to do some Pr and Ae work on. It has a regular internal HDD, I'm about to install a 1TB internal SSD, and there is a 1TB external HDD RAID in striping mode (USB 3). I also have available an external 1TB SSD (USB 3) as well.

I'll just trying to determine the best way to use this hardware in the most efficient manner.

Are you saying to partition the drives into multiple drive letters? Also, can I install to the SSD if that's not the windows drive?

Sorry, no.  I'm recommend five separate internal drives.

I also recommend installing all software in it's default location on C:.

I recommend the following as a starting point.  It offers both excellent speed and organization.

    C: System drive (SSD)

D: Project files, audio files, image files (SSD)

    E: Cache & Scratch (SSD)

F: Camera media and proxies (HDD)

    G: Exports (HDD)

As in CS6? Or do you actually mean Creative Cloud.

I have an PCIe Intel 720 1.2TB and use it as a scratch disc. Media Cache and Media Cahce Database are stored on a dedicated SSD.

I do often move projects to the PCIe Intel 720 1.2TB and when they are done, move them back to either an internal SSD or to external storage. Sometimes i render out media to the PCIe SSD.
