Buying computer for premiere, photoshop and after effects

I'm buying a laptop that I'll use to train on premiere, photoshop and after effects. The recommended RAM for premiere and photoshop are 16gb. The recommended RAM for after effects is 32gb (the minimum is 16gb). I'm trying to save money. Will after effects still run well with only 16gb?

here are the other specs for the possible MacBook Pro I'll potentially buy

  • 2.6GHz 6‑core 9th‑generation Intel Core i7 processor, Turbo Boost up to 4.5GHz
  • AMD Radeon Pro 5300M with 4GB of GDDR6 memory
  • 512GB SSD storage

will this pc work well for the next 6 years?

    I would highly recommend searching this forum, adobe does not support current Apple products with AMD gpu offerings. The whole situation is insane. Every major program is in compatible with the new MacBooks. I really wish adobe would speak up on this.

    No, not really. Adobe has gotten extremely picky lately about the age of the CPU platform. As such, it will not support a CPU platform that's even four years old, let alone six years old. And once Adobe introduces a new version each Fall, development of even the previous version is discontinued, with no new bug fixes ever for the older versions.

     

    And Apple has its support status for all of its products clearly visible. Apple typically places its products into "Vintage" support status five years after a particular model is discontinued (not released or introduced), and then into "Obsolete" status after seven years out of production. So, by the time that you get to replace that MacBook Pro, your particular unit may already be placed into "Vintage" status.
