Color Management Compatibility Issues: Flat Screen TV's <-->Laptops

Greetings!

I belong to a photography club that is currently in the market for a 50" Flat Screen 4K HDTV that will be used for display purposes of members images.These images are uploaded to a laptop that will be linked to this flat screen for critiquing purposes.

Currently we use a pull down screen that inadequately displays our photographs from a projector.

Our main concern is with any color management issues that may arise between the laptop and a new HDTV, and how to offset them, (in the event there are compatibility problems) so that our work is properly displayed at the meetings.
