creating after effects composition kills previous color grading in premiere pro

I color graded a clip in premiere and then replaced it with an after effects composition to apply motion tracking to the clip. After reimporting the clip back into premiere i noticed that the color grading was gone. When attempting to grade it again it also changes the logo I imported in after effects.

How can I preserve adjustments previously made in premiere when exporting clips to after effects?
