dell monitor pricing trends

i notice that a lot of online resellers sell dell monitors way cheaper.

is this always the way? or is it just old models that dell is wanting to get rid of?

specifically the higher end ones from $700-2000.

a new model just came out at $1600 that i am keen on and was wondering if resellers were about to get it for hundreds less?

or is it typically a year or so before that happens?
