in 2017 I bought the new macbook pro and became so frustrated with how awful it worked with Premiere pro, my imac gave me the experience which in turn forced me to buy a great PC which I love.  Now as I am about to embark on a long travel adventure am looking for an awesome laptop that I can take on the road and edit with.  I've had freinds suggest tading in my Macbook pro for the new one because it's been optimized to work with premiere pro, but I have my reservations of course.  I'm seeking help to explore what would be a great option in creating a travelling editing suite.  Any help ould be greatly appreciated!  If you had $200 to $2500 what would you buy?

The new 16 inch Macbook Pro's GPU is NOT YET SUPPORTED by Adobe: https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/system-requirements.html#hardware-acceleration-system-requirements

The best bang for the buck are always gaming laptops like this: https://www.amazon.com/15t-i7-9750H-GeForce-Notebook-Computer/dp/B07VDGVGK6/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=rtx+max-q&qid=1575903838&refinements=p_n_feature_five_browse-bin%3A13580787011%7C13580788011%2Cp_36%3A200000-250000&rnid=386442011&s=electronics&sr=1-3

More specifically, I recommend a laptop with an Nvidia RTX Max-Q card in order to gain maximum power efficiency for travel.

Thank you so much for your reply!

Ironicalyl enough I bought this exact computer desktop version and I love
it. I'll definitely check it out. I was wondering if you had any thoughts
on the 17 LG gram. It's gotten some greta reviews for editing on Premiere
and it's very light for a 17"

Thank you so much for taking the time to reply and I do value your
thoughts. I'm going to check out the Omen tomorrow.

The LG Gram is an extremely portable laptop. You're paying the price for that as far as performance goes. You cannot get a discrete graphics card in the LG Gram, and its maximum memory is 16GB.

I would check out the Razer Blade 15 for a more portable option. They have RAM upgradable to 32GB for only about $120, and all of them have the RTX Max-Q GPUs.
