GPU upgrade for Quadro K4200

I have a Quadro K4000 on my PC, sometimes The GPU-RAM size seems to a big bottleneck when rendering after effect projects.

So I am planning to upgrade my GPU. I found two cheap options and would like you to have your opinion on them.

 

Option 1: Dual K4000 (buy a second one)

Option 2: K4000+Nvidia Tesla K10/M2070

Neither. Both options are way overpriced for parts that are now eight full years old to begin with. And the M2070 will not work at all with a Kepler GPU, as all Tesla cards MUST be of the exact same GPU generation in order to function properly.

 

Instead, ditch the K4000 altogether (as all Kepler GPUs have aged very poorly in the eight years since it was first launched), and instead go for a single Quadro RTX 4000. That GPU that I'm recommending at this point is far newer than your old Kepler GPU, and buying any Kepler Quadro at this point is simply a royal waste of money as Kepler desktop GPUs will soon become completely obsolete (Nvidia has not announced its EOL yet, but will soon).

Actually you are absolutely right. I would also wish to have dual RTX 5000 on my station but it's doesn't work for my budget.

RTX4000 is almost 10 times more expensive than a K4000/4200. or I can find a workstation for rendering only with the same budget.

Hmmm... You're stuck between two completely undesirable options, in your case, unless you're willing to drop down from workstation to consumer-level components (and risk voiding all support if something goes wrong in the process). In this case, either stick with what you already have but completely give up on video editing for a while, or spend way over your budget for even a minimally tolerable (performance-wise) new build.
