Graphics card issue with Adobe's last update (Q1 2020)

Hello,

Since the last Premiere Pro & After effects update (Q1 2020), I am facing real challenges to work with these 2 tools. I get the below/attached message everytime I start any of the programs (issues with both graphics Intel and NVIDIA) and even when I follow the instructions to update my graphics I get an error message, also below/attached. I contacted adobe support Level 1, who scheduled another call to have acces with support level 2 ... but still nothing. Can I please get support to have this fixed?

Have a Toshiba Qosmio X70-A, i7-4700MQ, Windows 8 that I upgraded to Windows 10. 32GB RAM, ..

Can you please help me use my laptop under the new updates?

Regarding the "laptop" link, it's a bit outdated (only one 2020 comment, not entirely my preferred choices). Started the laptop hunt>

Your hardware is too old for Premiere Pro 2020. You see, both Intel and Nvidia had effectively EOL'd support for both of your graphics devices, with Intel having placed all 4th- and 5th-Generation CPUs into legacy status the day that the very first version of Windows 10 was originally released way back in 2015 (and since then, only security patches, not real driver fixes, have been released) - whikle Nvidia had announced the EOS of all Kepler mobile GPUs way back in March 2019. Those Kepler mobile GPUs will be permanently stuck on driver branch 418 (of which the last, 425.31, was merely a security patch to the last 418-series driver). Unfortunately, before Adobe got a chance to release the 2020 version of Premiere Pro, Nvidia performed a major update of its mainline GeForce driver to driver branch 430, which now no longer supports Kepler mobile GPUs. And Adobe's policy is to now require a driver branch that was the newest at the time of the major version's release just to even be supported at all.

In other words, your laptop is now effectively obsolete.

Cruel reality!! Thanks a bunch, have to start shopping for a computer. Do you recommend a specific very good laptop in the market that can keep up with AE and PPro? Thanks

As far as I know (based on reading similar messages) PPro 2020 is not compatible with either of those devices

You should go back to the last version of Premiere Pro you had

Time marches on, in this case.

And not only that, but Toshiba has already exited the consumer PC market completely during the Haswell era, and sold the remaining support for its now-discontinued consumer PCs to a third-party company. Toshiba continues to sell its business-class laptops for the time being.

So, you will have to find a different brand if you must buy a new PC.
