Hi guys. Newbie here.

I've built myself a killer PC to try and start getting into editing. But it's seems it can't handle 6min of wedding photos with some simple dissolves and pan+zoom.

Which seems strange given I've built a:

64gb DDR5

1TB High Speed SSD

12GB Asus Radeon Dual RX6750OC

AMD Ryzen 5600G

 

You wouldn't think a simple codec could block up this beast, but it seems so.

The whole reason I built this PC was to avoid slow render speeds, but here I am, back at the CPU rendering speeds I wanted to leave.

Am I missing something?

    Are the photos very large, I have seen reports that the computer slows down the more stills you add.

    Do not count on Windows to be fully up to date when it comes to device drivers
    Go to the vendor site to be sure you have an updated driver for your graphic adapter

    Yeah I've got the amd driver checking app, and everything is up to date
