Help needed // powerful and mobile video editing laptop for PP et AE
Hello guys,
I started learning adobe cc, with a huge focus on PP and AE, and noticed my Surface Book 2 was having a hard time making my life easy as it should be doing for the price i cost me 2 years ago..
My current specs are: i7 8650 U, 16 gb ram, and gtx 1050
I love my thinkpad x1 that I use for school, its solid, discrete and does it job well though the battery life is miserable compared to what they announce. Nevertheless, I love the design and it really feels like the computer is build to last, which I like.
I've been looking to replace this hugely disappointing SB2 with a thinkpad. The reviews I see online have are all pointing towards the X1 extreme as the Quadro cards don't seem to be loved by Adobe CC.
Questions:
1. Is the X1 Extreme a good choice ?
2. I am hesitating a lot between the 9th generation i7 9750 H and i9 9880 H as there is a premium of 500 euros to pay for the upgrade... Is it worth it ? Will a see a significant performance difference? The graphics card is a GTX 1650 max q 4GB and 32GB of RAM. I am no heavy expert on the program yet but count on deep diving into CC and learning realitively advanced animation etc..
3. I've also read multiple times that better processors usually implies hotter laptop, which i've always had a hard time with (in my mind i always fear the thing is going to melt or explode on my mind, which I deep inside know is unlikely, but still... who want's to fear using his computer???) Is this still the case with the 9th gen processors?
4. Anyone having experience with thinkpads and Adobe CC?
Many thanks for your help!
