Hi,

I'm getting very confusing information out there in the online world about this setting in Device Manager.

HPET (high precision event timer) enable or disabled for Premiere Pro using AMD Ryzen cpu?

Thanks for your high tech advice on this one!

Short answer:  AMD Ryzen + Asus ROG motherboard = turn off HPET.

1) Disable in Device manager

and

2) Command prompt (admin):

bcdedit /deletevalue useplatformclock

Gives you better performance and higher FPS for gaming.

Your cpu and MB may vary, so don't 100% rely on this post.

Moved to hardware forum.

Ann, it's a software setting in Windows in regards to Premiere Pro's ability to function better.

Not a hardware issue.

Please move back, thanks.
