Question

iGPU not showing up in Task Manager

I just built a PC with:

Intel Core i9-12900K 3.2 GHz 16-Core Processor

Asus PRIME Z690-P D4 ATX LGA1700 Motherboard
Nvidia RTX 3070 Ti

On the BIOS I enabled the (iGPU Multi-Monitor setting).

On the Task Manager I see only one GPU the RTX 3070 Ti.

I heard the IGPU is 17% better performance that I could use.

Do I need to install Intel iGPU drivers?

It turned out I didn't need to download iGPU drivers. Windows 10 did it for me. Device Manager-> Display Adapters. There were 2 of them and the Nvidia Adapter and a Windows Adapter that showed an error. I clicked on it and it offered me an update which found the UHD Graphics 770 Adaptor and the error was gone. Premiere Pro runs noticably better with that fix.

Yes, you need to install the drivers for the iGPU to make use of Quick Sync and have the iGPU be seen by Windows. The Alder Lake's Quick Sync might work better than the RTX 3070's Nvenc. For those who don't know how to test Nvenc and Quick Sync I have provied a video link that might be helpful.
