Hey all,This website for NVIDIA says Quadro P5000 is the best processor for premier pro, P3000 is better and M2000 is good. none of these are listed n adobe recommendations. My plan was originally to get a dekstop processor and a gtx1080 in a latop, but one just came up which seems great value with the 7700HQ and a 6gb VRAM gtx1060My current desktop is a i7 5820K at stock with a gtx970 (4gb).  I know its a laptop processor, but will I find it unbearable to edit on? I use a lot of lumetri effects and layers (like 3 on a clip - sometimes its 4k, and a few adjustment layers to boot).  Will the 1060 compare OK to my 970?ITs here:  Metabox Prime P650HP/P650HP-G Free Shipping in Australia

After using Mac pretty much exclusively for years, I'm finally jumping over to PC. I'm starting to get familiar with what I need for my first build. I'll be using it primarily for Premiere/After Effects, probably some Photoshop as well. I wanted to get some feedback from you guys since I'm pretty much going in blind on this. My ideal budget is $1500-$2000.CPU:     Intel Core i7-5820K          -Narrowed down my search to either the 5820K or 6700K. From what I understand the 5820 has a slight edge when it comes to video editing. Hey guys - I've been using Adobe CC for a while now but recently I've been trying to broaden my usage.  I might be completely missing something obvious here, which I'm willing to be told as part of my learning process, but when using AME to transcode H.264 to Cineform using GPU acceleration I'm seeing no GPU usage.  I've got a number of different systems here including a box with a GTX 1070, Quadro M4000 and a FirePro W9100, I'm trying to test which GPU is best for transcoding (i.e. the W9100 for OpenCL vs the Quadro for CUDA) but as I can't see any GPU activity I'm not sure if I'm even doing this right.  You can see in the image below I'm using CUDA acceleration for Cineform and this is with the GTX 1070, it's well into an encode, but there's no GPU utilisation at all.  Anybody able to let me know what I'm missing? Is this encode supposed to use GPU acceleration as the renderer suggests, or is this a CPU locked activity?

Just slotted in the GTX 980ti into my machine running i7 3.3 GHz - 32gb Ram Loading up Premiere Pro CC2015  I am not seeing a great deal difference in render times from my GTX 770 or even 580 The Mercury PLayback engine is on and selected - Is there a specific disk configuration to make this work - am I bottlenecking ? I am stacking layers of video to test the power - there is not much difference between my old GTX 580 £50 card and this one One good thing is that is it playing back 4k files on VLC player just about , any thoughts on this greatfully accepted !

How about this from two Samsung 960 Pro M.2 in RAID 0:But I will have to say that exporting from Premiere with the PPBM disk intensive Disk I/O timeline cannot take advantage of this sequential write speed.  Our Premiere Pro benchmark stops improving at ~2000 MB/second so this configuration would not be practical usage.I just could not resist showing these astronomical transfer rates

Hi.I'm configuring a HP Z840 workstation, and I have a challenge to choose the suitable CPUs and GPU for it.Currently I'm circling around these two CPU setups:- 2 x Xeon E5-2640v4 (2.4GHz 10C 2133)- 2 x Xeon E5-2643v4 (3.4GHz 6C 2400)Speed or cores? Hello one and all,I know this is a variation of the age old question, but I am not sure if this can be done. (probably not I think but it's worth asking)If i purchase a single Xeon HP Z620 with 128GB RAM is it possible to simply swap the Xeon chip for a faster i7 chip with the same socket? I know i7 dont officially support ECC RAM but I have read that it can work just fine. So I've read so many different and contradictory things on this forum in the past few weeks regarding the use of non-certified graphic cards with the latest version of Premiere. From what I understood, adobe is no longer testing the latest NVIDIA GeForce cards, but with a minimum of 1GB of vram and the correct settings in Premiere, it is said that the GPU acceleration should work. Yet I have seen that it caused many problems to a lot of people, especially with the 2017 update of Premiere.I am looking to buy a PC (to work mainly with Premiere 2017) and by now I have pretty much all of the configuration figured out, except for the GPU. I don't have a large budget but I'm also not a professionnal (yet), so I was thinking of something in the GeForce 900 serie. I can't really afford a Quadro, and I don't see the point of purchasing an older and less powerful GeForce just because it is on the GPU certified list, if, indeed, a non certified card could work...I would therefore like to know the

Hi guys looking for advice on which PC to get for video editing.Currently I'm using a very old pc which has looked after me, but using Premiere Pro is turning into a massive headache with massive render times etc.So, I've been looking for a while now. I can't make my mind up, I've been pretty close to going for a Skylake i7 6700k (4core, 4ghz + possible Overclock to 4.6). Budget is around £1000.So i know i could build a pc with this processor on an asus z170 pro gaming MoBo, 16gb ddr4 ram, 750 psu, 2 tb HDD, 500gb SSD, etc..... for around that budget. GPU is not a massive priority right now, but will be something I can improve in future, and utilize Nvidias CUDA. The only thing that's holding me back is wondering whether 4 strong cores will be plenty for 1080/4k video editing, or should I be looking at 6 core builds. That brings the i7 5820K/6800k on haswell/broadwell x99 mobo setups.Basically, if you guys had a grand for an intel pc, for video editing, what would you go for?And what a

HelloSo its seems like the new M2 from Samsung 960 series is the way to go .... , but a few questions if u dont mind: - is it worth paying exta for Pro over EVO? what is the difference between them?- there is no reasons to split work around several disks now, right?  media, render, project files, scratch disk - previews, export - can all be on same M2 Disk? or its a good thing to keep something on extra Sata SSD?- PCI card to use with M2 SSD? the are some cheaper cards like Asus, and more expansive like Angelbird?regards
