Intel Xeon vs i7

hi, I have a problem with my notebook, 
I have a dell precision 5520 with 32g RAM, 
CPU Intel (R) Xeon (R) CPU E3-1505M v5 2.80GHz and with 512GB M.2 PCIe SSD 
 premiere pro crashes even when importing clips,
 it's impossible to work. can the problem be the CPU? would I solve the problem with an i7?
