Is my PC good enough?

Hello, I just wanted to check with you pro's to see if my rig is up to the job.

I am new to Premier and i'm experiencing really slow performance when trying to edit even short videos. Basically, I have footage filmed on the DJI Mavic 2 (4k), when I add a few clips to my sequence, playback is very jittery. This makes editing almost impossible for me.

I tried changing my sequence to 1080p and downscaling the 4k footage but this didn't make much different. Also tried the suggested tips such as reducing the size in the playback window to 1/4 etc

My PC specs

Asus Z170 Deluxe Motherboard

Intel Core i7 6700K Unlocked Skylake

Corsair Vengeance White LED 32GB DDR4 3200 Memory Kit 4x 8GB

Samsung 500GB 960 Evo PCIe SSD (I have other SATA drives)

Nvidia GTX 1070

Windows 10 64bit

Is my PC good enough for 4k editing (or 1080p for that matter)?

Cheers

Jonny

Correct answer Ann Bens

PC is ok, best is to use ssd drive for media etc.

Drone footage is highly compressed might want to try proxies which edits much better.
