Hi! I am looking for advice!

i do videography as a job and I also do the post-production of my videos. I have been working with an iMac. The thing is that next week I'll be traveling for 4 months and I need to be able to do post-production work while I am on the go.

In my search for a second hand laptop , saw this today.

Apple MacBook Pro 13" Touchbar Core i5 3.1GHZ RAM 16GB 256GB SSD 2017 MODEL

Processor Type

Intel Core i5 7th Gen.

GPU/Video Card

Intel Iris Plus Graphics 650, AMD Radeon Pro 560

Now I am trying to work out if this machine will be good enough and work fast enough for dealing with footage in 4k and full hd1080p , using softwares like adobe Premiere, adobe audition, after effects, photoshop.

I'd appreciate all your expert opinions. Would you guys get this second hand laptop if you were in my shoes and with a budget of 1500 Euros?

thank you!

Ana

The mobile i5 in that MacBook Pro is only a dual-core CPU. And no dual-core CPU - mobile or desktop - is powerful enough for any video editing chores these days, especially for Premiere Pro CC 2018.x.

Hi! Thank you so much for your reply. So if I was to get a second hand MacBook pro, what do you think are the minimum requirements that I would need from that MacBook pro to bepowerful enough for video editing with premiere 2018.

    Thank you again!
