KVM Mouse Problem

I have a Igear KVM switch allowing me to use 2 Pcs for video and photo editing. It was working fine until I bought a new Microsoft Classic IntelliMouse. I was looking for improved resolution over my 10 year old mouse. The cursor moves but it can go horizontally only. When I reinstall the old generic Dell mouse it works fine.
