Laptop Purchase Question

I have looked at required and suggested specs.

To get the perfect laptop is out of my price range.

I generally do a lot of editing on different file types rarely 1080 never higher  some special effect no color correction etc.

Where can i trim a corner here and there and still have a good experience.

I'm wondering do I splurge on the CPU speed and get 8g ram  and 2g on the graphics card.

I just want a stable platform and reasonable render times.  Where can I go minimum and where should I devote the cash that I do have.

As an example... i could get an i7 9...H processor and 8gig ram with a Ti 6 G card or

i78 H processor with 16ram and Ti 2G card

or 

i5 quadcore with 32ram and Ti 4G card.
