Greetings,

Today I received an offer for video editing, with the following preference; link below;

HRP Europe WEBÁRUHÁZ

Eclipse Gray ,16" WUXGA 1920X1200 16:10 LED Back-lit(165Hz)
I7-13650HX
DDR5 16GB ( 16GB DDR5-4800 SO-DIMM ),
1TB PCIE G4 SSD,
NV RTX4060 8GB

Is this could be Ok for these?

Adobe Premier Pro 22.2
Red Giant Universe 6.1.0
NewBlueFX
BorisFX \ Sapphire 2022 Adobe

On the other hand, is there a pro and con comparison between a desktop PC and a laptop for video editing?

Thank you!

Premier Pro 22.2 is no longer available for download.

This should handle short format 1080p projects well.  2160p may be okay, but I would expect to have to use the Premiere Pro Proxy Workflow and to be very patient when it comes to exporting full resolution movie files.

Maybe more importantly, I would classify this as a laptop for occasional video projects - not daily work in video editing.

For regular content creation and to run the software that you've listed, I'd want something that's closer to this or better:

    Lenovo 16" IdeaPad Pro 5i Multi-Touch Laptop

It has more RAM, a higher built-in screen resolution, and a Thunderbolt port.

On another note:  If setting up a new laptop, you would be installing Premiere Pro 2025 or Premiere Pro 2024 along with the up-to-date versions of Maxon One Red Giant Universe and Boris FX Sapphire.
