Mesure NPU impact

Can anyone confirm that Adobe applications that feature I.A. Do require local processing (CPU/NPU)? (and not only GPU). I'm looking forward to understanding what is the impact of using NPU based Processor.

Is there any benchmark database or even a benchmark that I could run in both platforms to help me to understand these possible gains?

Besides Generative AI, are there other use cases where workloads have shifted from execution on the CPU to execution on the NPU (even partially)? Any examples of application optimization independent of Generative AI?

I haven't run any benchmarks, but Photoshop Neural Filters are much faster on Apple Silicon that features a Neural Engine.

I can't speak for all Adobe applications, but I can speak for Premiere Pro. Wherever possible we run local AI/ML models on your GPU. On Apple silicon Macs featuring a Neural Engine, we will run models on that dedicated hardware. We are working to add support for the newer NPUs now becoming available in Windows systems.
