Nvidia Quadro M2200 vs GTX 1050TI which is better gpu for 4k editing ?

Please help me pick up a 4k editing laptop

current specs i am looking for is

i7 - 8th gen

16gb ram

Nvidia 1050ti or nvidia quadro m2200

is this good enough to do 4k editing ?

which is the better gpu ?

please help.

There is no M2200 for the desktop at all. There was an M2000, which was succeeded by the P2000. The M2200 was a mobile-only GPU based on the last-generation Maxwell architecture; it was, in fact, essentially a GeForce GTX 960 that's running at lower clock speeds on both the GPU and the memory. The truth is that Maxwell GPUs do not perform all that well, especially at the lower end. As such, it is actually weaker than the GTX 1050 Ti even for mobile applications.

so can i do edit 4k videos with this gpu nvidia gtx 1050ti or i should look for any other gpu in this price range for 4k edit in laptop ?

and please help me with the complete specs for the laptop ?

You can edit 4k videos with the 1050 Ti. It's just that rendering out in the timeline will take a little longer than with a higher-end GPU, especially if the timeline is of a lower resolution than the original clip.

However, if you add more video layers and/or GPU-accelerated effects to your timeline, there is a very good chance that you run out of GPU RAM (the 4GB that's standard with the GTX 1050 Ti). And when the system depletes its available GPU RAM in the middle of a render job, Premiere will unceremoniously switch its renderer to the MPE software-only mode with no indication at all whatsoever, and will remain in the software-only mode for the remainder of the render job for that clip.

And whichever laptop you choose, choose one with a PCIe m.2 SSD instead of a 5400 RPM SATA HDD. And then, you will need an external USB 3.1 SSD to go along with that laptop since laptops with SSDs include only 240GB to 512GB worth of total space.
