Nvidia Quadro P3200: Will it work?

Hi all,

I'm trying to spec out a laptop for a customer and the Nvidia Quadro P3200 has come up as an option.  Now, this card is not listed under Adobe's systems spec page​, so I contacted online chat, only to be told:

"As it is not listed it will not work."

I explained to the agent that there is clear proof that the card does work:

Nvidia page on it's collaboration with Adobe:     Adobe Creative Cloud Accelerated on NVIDIA GPUs|NVIDIA

Presented with this, the tone changed slightly to:     "as this graphics card is not listed you will face issues with Premier Pro CC application."

Can someone from Adobe please give me a definitive answer on this?

  1. Will it work with Adobe Premiere Pro?
  2. Is it supported?

In addition, if confirmed as supported, I'd appreciate it if an Adobe agent could get the specs page updated to reflect Nvidia's mobile graphics options (much like AMD's).

New cards come out faster than Adobe can test and certify... if your card has 1Gig of video ram it should work... but do be aware that video drivers SOMETIMES cause problems, so you may need to update your video driver at the vendor site

Why are only some video cards supported?

There’s a lot of testing work that goes into making sure that a given card works without problems and actually provides the features in a way that we can support. We don’t want to say that people can use any card and then have some cards cause problems. We learned this the hard way on the After Effects side, where a lot of problems arise from people trying to use the OpenGL features with cards that we haven’t been able to test against and verify.

For compatibility and support, this has cemented the decision to with the Quadro P2000 instead of the P3200.
