Older MacBook Pro Compatibility Question/Premiere Pro & After Effects

I have a mid 2010 15 inch MacBook Pro. I know that I need 8gb's of ram to run Premiere Pro. That being said, can anyone here simply tell me if my computer will be able to handle Premiere Pro and After Effects? Thank you in advance?
