I hope it worked out for you! I currently have a Dell T7600 as well. It's running well with Dual Xeon E5-2667 and 64GB of RAM. Along with a Samsung Evo 850 256GB SSD for OS and programs and other mechanical hdds for storage.

I was wondering about my RAID controller as well. Windows 10 doesn't see my 850 EVO as an SSD, which I thought might be a bit of a problem.....:(. For whatever reason, it can't see past the RAID controller to recognize it as an SSD, and also Crystal Disk Info can't see it either. Meh, I suppose it's a minor concern, but it is still annoying.

Anyway, my RAID controller does let me run the drives in Non-RAID, thank the LORD! I didn't know about that issue before hand though, so I could have ended up like you!
