Recommendations for a LGA2011-v3 motherboard for Thunderbolt

Hey all! We're planning on upgrading our almost 8 year old PC, It's good, but is being pretty slow

I'd like to use Thunderbolt 3 for an external storage solution (If you've got any recomendations for that as well I'd appreciate it greatly)

So far I'm planning on using an i7-6800k, Noctua NH-D15S 140mm, EVGA GTX 1070 6GB, and Samsung 960 pro 512GB (For C, apps, and working) CORSAIR AX860i 860W; With an internal raid 10 with WD Blacks (Probably 4 4TB drives).

I've looked at the Asus X99-DELUXE II; but I figured I'd get all of your opinions first.

Anybodys thoughts on what I've picked thus far would be much appreciated as well.

p.s. This is for 1080i video; I use Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop CS6 mostly; we will be upgrading to CC when we get the new build.

(probably will not be going to 4k for a while, but wouldn't mind it to be capable of that.)
