Recommendations for a windows laptop for video, motion graphics, and CGI $4,000 budget.

Hello community,

 

I have a budget of 3 - $4,000 USD. Looking to purchase a mobile workstation that will run video editing, motion graphics, and CGI using Premiere Pro and After Effects. I need a lot of horsepower in efforts to cut down on export and preview times. Some other items listed below:

  • Two internal SSD slots
  • 32 - 64 Gig ram
  • Thunderbolt 3

Also, this budget should include a docking station that can run multiple monitors and provide USB A for connecting some older HID components.

Thank you, i looked at the referenced thread. That conversation is from 2017 and it looks like their is no actual recommendations to the question. What laptop should be used in 2020 to run these programs?

I have a $4,000 budget and would appreciate some up to date advice :-).
