Upgrading Laptop

Hi guys
I’m looking to upgrade my current Dell M6700 laptop. I use it on the road mainly for assembly and basic preparation for final edit on return to the office. Occasionally, I’ve had to output a few small finished projects and those might include some Red Giant plug-in effects (basic, transition or maybe lens flare). I’m looking at an ACER Swift 3. It has the following specs:

model number NX.H1MEK.005
Series Swift 3 SF315-52 Notebook
Processor Brand: Intel
Processor Type: Core i7
Processor Speed; 1.8 GHz
Processor Count: 4
RAM Size; 8 GB
Memory Technology: DDR4
Maximum Memory Supported: 8 GB
Hard Drive Size: 1 TB
Hard Disk Technology: Hybrid Drive
Hard Drive Interface; USB 2.0/3.0
Graphics Coprocessor: Intel UHD Graphics 620
Graphics Chipset Brand: Intel
Graphics Card Description: Integrated
Graphics RAM Type: Shared
Graphics Card Ram Size: 8 GB

Anyone worked with this or can anyone advise if this set-up looks like it could cope with PPr v 14? I’ve normally worked with NVIDIA cards. Any views welcome.

Red Giant wants 2GB of VRAM, minimum.

Check out this ASUS ROG G531GT-BI7N6

It's got a better processor, an Nvidia GPU with 6GB of VRAM, and RAM that is upgradable to 32GB.

Many thanks for your suggestion. I'll look into that.
