Which Hardware is best for Adobe PremierePro Editing?

I have a MacBookPro16 my company gave me so I could work remotely. I have a hobby of editing videos with Adobe Premiere Pro and recording songs with GarageBand, for which I have been using my MBP, but would prefer to use alternate hardware so my work & hobby are kept separate. — What hardware do you recommend? I would prefer something fast with a lot of storage (portability not important but a plus). Can you tell me the pros & cons of these options?: 1) MacStudio, 2) MacMini, 3) MacBookPro13, or 4) an external high-speed Thunderbolt-3 hard drive plugged into my MBP. How much RAM (gb) & hard drive (tb) storage do I need? Thanks.

Is that 16-inch MacBook Pro one of the older Intel-powered units? Or is it the currently available M1 Pro/Max-powered model?

If you're using an Intel-powered model, be advised that the Mac Mini and the 13-inch MacBook Pro use the original M1 chip, whose performance (as these machines are equipped) is no better than the Intel-powered 16-inch MacBook Pros (because those two models are lower on the Mac performance chain than the current 16-inch MacBook Pro), and may actually be slower than your current machine. Or, if your current MacBook Pro is already an M1 Pro or M1 Max model, then the Mac Mini and the 13-inch MacBook Pro would be a waste of money unless you want to own (as opposed to be loaned) a Mac.

In either case, coming from a 16-inch MacBook Pro, the only worthwhile purchase(s), performance-wise, would be a Mac Studio (which is powered by an M1 Max or an M1 Ultra CPU) or adding a fast Thunderbolt 3 external SSD (1 TB or larger) to your current 16-inch MacBook Pro.

And do not buy a mechanical spinning hard drive for that Thunderbolt 3 external connection as no mechanical spinning hard drive can sustain even 200 MB/s in sequential speed - much slower than even USB 3.2 Gen 1x1's maximum sustainable transfer speed, let alone Thunderbolt 3.
