Hi guys,

I'm going from PC gaming to PC graphics / editing (except for modeling 2d, 3d) so I do not need a "super PC" and also I want to save some money so I have to change some components (do not worry about selling the pieces).

CURRENTLY THE PC HAS THE FOLLOWING PIECES:

- WINDOWS 10 64BIT

- MSI H270 Gaming Pro Carbon Motherboard, ATX format

- Intel Box Core Processor i7-6700, Silver

- Kingston HyperX Fury Memory Kit 16 GB, 2x8 GB, 2133 MHz, DDR4, Non-ECC CL14 DIMM

- Gigabyte 1060 OC 6 GB GDDR5 GPU

- Samsung MZ-75E250B / EU SSD 850 EVO, 250 GB, 2.5 ", SATA III

- WD WD10EZRZ Blue 1 TB Desktop Hard Disk, 5400 RPM, SATA 6 GB / s, 64 MB Cache, 3.5 "

- EVGA SuperNOVA 650 G2, 80+ GOLD 650W

(Up to here I spent € 1257.57)

THE GPUS I AM EVALUATING ARE:

- Gigabyte GT 1030 Low Profile 2G

https://www.amazon.it/gp/product/B0719CR59P/ref=ox_sc_saved_title_1?smid=A11IL2PNWYJU7H&psc=1

- Zotac GeForce GTX 1050 OC

https://www.amazon.it/Zotac-GeForce-GTX-1050-GDDR5/dp/B01NAEFCUL/ref=sr_1_4?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1536502335&sr=1-4&keywords=gtx+1050

THE MAINBOARDS I AM EVALUATING ARE:

- Gigabyte GA-H270-HD3 LGA1151 ATX motherboard

https://www.amazon.it/gp/product/B01N5JUEWM/ref=ox_sc_saved_title_5?smid=A11IL2PNWYJU7H&psc=1

- Gigabyte GA-Z270-Gaming K3 Intel Z270 LGA1151 ATX

https://www.amazon.it/gp/product/B01NBOTNZW/ref=ox_sc_saved_title_6?smid=A3KWP5A9XVQC7A&psc=1

I PLEASE ACCEPT YOUR OPINIONS AND PROPOSALS FOR OTHER MAINBOARDS / GPUs OUTSIDE THOSE I LISTED TO MAKE MY CASE.

THANK YOU ALL!!!

    Here's my take on this:

You really need (relatively speaking) a "super PC" to run any decent video editing program these days because such a program hammers both the CPU and the GPU (but especially the CPU) much more than any games do. But I would not downgrade any of your current components because your current CPU and GPU are already fairly well balanced for a video editing PC, and any downgrades in any of those components will significantly degrade overall performance in such an application.

And it makes no sense to change the motherboard if you also don't change the CPU.
