'Your system's hardware does not support hardware acceleration for the current settings' error

(For some reason this was posted as a reply to a previous topic, but it should be a new one. Not sure how that happened - sorry!)

I have a laptop with a 11th Gen Intel Core i9 11900H processor (so it has Quick Synch acceleration), and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti Laptop GPU (so NVENC capable)

I am trying to export a project from Premiere Pro, h264 format with VBR-1 encoding, yet I get the above error saying I can't use hardware acceleration.

Any ideas?

Thanks"

In addition to what I asked above, what is the field order of your exported video? Interlaced video exports are not supported at all for hardware encoding. Export must be progressive only.

It was the field order! Thank you so much for spotting that.

What is your export resolution? Premiere Pro supports hardware encoding only with discrete standard resolution (frame size) settings, such as 1920x1080 or 3840x2160. In between or nonstandard resolutions are not supported at all - software encoding only must be used.
