Adobe capture: Adjusting captured colors to reference?

Hello!
I tried out the Adobe capture app and learned that it automatically finds complementary colors to those selected from the image.
Thing is, if you have one reference color that is captured slightly off (due to low light or whatever), all harmonizing colors will also be off.

Question:
If you know the exact value for your "reference" color; is there anyway you can correct than according to the known value, and the others automatically adjusted to match that?

    Hi.

You can actually adjust any colors in  a theme in Capture. Here's how to do that:

Tap the Colors tab then tap on the Color Theme you want to edit.

That will open the theme in a Preview screen. On that screen tap the pencil icon in the lower right hand corner.

That will open the theme in a new window with the HEX code of the selected color

Tap RGB in the lower right hand corner of that screen tabs to change the adjustment sliders from RGB to CMYK, LAB, or HSB.

Just tap on any color in the theme to get the codes for that color. And use the sliders to adjust any color.

    Hope that helps.

    HI Sue,

    thanks for your reply 🙂

OK, I got that far but I was looking for Capture to change the palette when I edited one of the colors.

Looks like it doesn't but I doget new harmonies (and can change how harmonies are generated) once editing one palette color.

I was looking for more of an "automatic update" of the entire palette once correcting one key color.

Probably just my expectations that were off, I'm not a designer so this may not actually make sense to a pro 🙂

My little project here is to use this method to find some accent colors for a relatively simple palette that we have, to enhance our profile a little.

    Cheers + thanks!

    Hi E.

Unfortunately in Capture you'd have to go in and edit by hand each color in the theme. Have you checked https://color.adobe.com/create/color-wheel to see if you can do there what you're trying to do?
