Adobe Capture Android Login Problem

Hi all,

When I try to log-in to my Adobe ID on the Android version of Adobe Capture, it looks like I'm going to log-in successfully at first but then I am returned to the log-in page. I had no trouble logging into Photoshop Express and Lightroom on Android, and I am not given an error response for incorrect log-in information. I saw some older log-in loops with this app on the forum but they were from 2 years ago, so I'm not sure what is happening now. Looking on the Google Play store it seems that the new version is pretty broken, so maybe that's just it...

I am using:

Android 8.1.0

Adobe Capture 4.1

Thanks!

Hi Steinea

There was a strange bug causing all kinds of problems in v4.1 (721) of Capture for Android; they could very well have had something to do with why you were unable to sign in to the app.

I heard from the team this morning (Thursday) that a new version, v4.1 (732), of Capture for Android was released in the PlayStore. Please install that update and see if you're successful signing in?

Hi,

I've got the exact same issue with the version 8.1, on Android 12.
Please help

This exact thing is happening to me right now on version 5. And apparently to many other people based on the Google Play reviews. I cant believe the only solution is to wait for the next update and hope it works.

I responded to your other post (Cant login - looped back to welcome / sign in screen ) but am posting here too just in case you check here first:

Because it's limited to only Android, I checked with the Capture team to see if this is an issue that's come up during testing. One of the engineers said that he's only seen it when when using social sign-on (G+ or Facebook) and Don't Keep Activities is toggled ON in the Developer Options menu (when enabled the OS will destroy an activity as soon as it's stopped).

Please check that toggle in your Settings menu and toggle it OFF if it's ON.

Let me know how things are going.

Sue.
