Adobe Capture Audio Capture and playback don't work on iPhone 14 iOS 17.3.1

The audio capture itself seems to work (since i see the waveform as it records the audio) but playback and saving does not. Often (but not always) attempting to play the audio i just captured simply crashes the app and i lose the file. Other times it just does not do anything. If i click the checkmark after recording to save the recorded audio, it takes me to a new white screen but there is no waveform there, so there's nothing to save.

Tried reinstalling the app many times with no effect. Then imported another piece of audio, which I was then able to play back within the app. This seemed to do something since when I then proceeded to capture some new audio it now did play it back but only once and then stopped working again as described above. Now tring to play the imported audio also fails. I can see a loading cog but the app is unable to load the file for playback, which it was able to do just before.

Also switching away from audio (to shape for instance) immediately disregards my captured audio which is by design i guess but very annoying nevertheless.
