How accurate is the Adobe Capture app on an Android for taking hex colors on a computer monitor?

Using an app within the browser would be accurate, because all the physical devices are out of the loop - the browser know what color numbers it is supposed to be rendering. The actual display isn't used, which is good.

I wouldn't count on it being accurate at all, from a strictly numbers standpoint.

Variables include:

  1. Monitor calibration
  2. Monitor brightness
  3. Ambient light
  4. Camera calibration on the smart phone

Changing any one of these just a tiny bit will produce different results in the captured swatch.

Thank you for your input.

Do you have any recommendations on getting the most accurate colors using Adobe Capture? Or, would I be better off using a color picker app from my browser? Would what you mentioned above alter the colors captured as well?

Thanks
