The download function is no longer available.  But, you can still access your themes in all your Adobe apps.  If you are looking to access your themes in other apps, here's how:

Step 1: On the explore page (or theme page) click the "Edit Copy" icon.

Step 2: If you want to make any edits, you can do so on the next page that loads (the Color Wheel). Once you are done making changes, click the "Save" button.

Step 3: Give your theme a name, and select the library you wish to save it in.

Now, the theme will show up in your Libraries in your apps.  In most apps, you can access Libraries by navigating to Window > Library.

The download function is no longer available.  Creative Cloud Libraries is the mechanism Adobe is using to share assets across apps.  If you don't have a CC membership, it's doable, but not as easy.

Option 1: You will have to copy the RGB, HEX, etc.  and paste the values into the app you are using.

Option 2: If you have CS6 or earlier, you can use the "Kuler" panel to access "public" colors and use them in your app.

Found a sort of work around on Mac/Safari using Illustrator. Don't use my PC for design, so not sure if there is a similar workaround

(I know you can "Print to PDF", just not sure if there is the Adobe PDF option as described in Step 2).

1) Go to the Color webpage, click on My Themes.

On the one you want, click Info.

When it opens the Info Page, click on the swatch again to go to a full page preview.

2) From there, (I'm using Safari, YMMV), get to the Print Dialog.

On the bottom left, click on the PDF drop-down menu and select Save as Adobe PDF.

NOT Save as PDF, but Save as ADOBE PDF. This gives you the option to then select your PDF Settings.

Personally, I went into Distiller and made a preset that uses no downsampling, no compression, and "Leave Color Unchanged" under Color Management Policies in the Color Tab.

When I opened the PDF in Illustrator to double-check, all the RGB/HEX values were the exactly the same as on the website.

3) So, open the PDF (or a copy of it) in Illustrator, then, with the Direct Selection Tool, select all the color "bars/paths", which are now vector objects, and in the Swatches Panel click New Color Group which will put them all in a folder. You can THEN save the swatches to a swatch file if you need to.

Note that I opened the PDF DIRECTLY. Sometimes in Illustrator, if you PLACE a file in an open document and don't Embed, the colors will be slightly off until you do Embed it.

It is absurd you have to do this because Adobe removed the Download Swatch button for no justifiable reason, but really, after you set up your Distiller Preset, it's only a few steps and takes about 15-20 seconds.

- Go to Full Page Preview on Color Website

- Save a PDF using Print > Save as Adobe PDF

- Open PDF in Illustrator, select color paths, Make New Color Group

- Save Swatches

It is NOT a replacement, but a workaround while we wait with out breath held to see if the feature will be returned.

And it IS faster than manually writing down all HEX/RGB values and manually making new swatches and inputting the color values individually.

Hope this helps.

This is such Bullsh!t.

This means no way to back up your themes. Just pray that the Adobe server never has an issue or you will lose everything.

Adobe, like Apple, is needlessly crippling apps and features for absolutely no reason than "this is how we want you to do it now, because we say so".

On my main Mac, I have CC, but I still have CS5 Illustrator on a PC and will NOT move it to CC since the Live Trace was "Improved". The "Improved" version removed many adjustment parameters I rely on DAILY as a designer at a screen print shop. It took a long time to learn the features, and was able to Live Trace client supplied line art to bet it ready for production. Now, in CC, most of those parameters are removed, trying to trace simple black & white line are is nowhere near as good as it was, but hey, at least now we professionals can do exactly what Adobe THOUGHT we wanted... the ability to trace/vectorize high resolution photographs into 500,000 multicolored vector paths!

And now, I cant save swatch files to use in that version of Illy because Adobe has decided to remove the Download button.

Pleas, for f#%ks sake, STOP removing features for no reason and ask the people who pay your bill what they want....

I love Adobe, but I have to agree with you on this one. Seems silly to take away the download feature.

How do i actually use the color themes once they are in a library, i have the library panel open and see the color themes but can do NOTHING with them. Cant use the eye dropper tool and cant add them to my swatches and thus can literally not even use them....
