Suggestion for patterns tool (from images)

I would like the option to "quick save" patterns and continue playing with the image, without having to exit and start over every time I see something i like and want to capture. 

Like, be able to capture multiple patterns from a single image and shape in a session, before "committing" and seeing adobe's suggestions.

Does that make sense?
