install Adobe XI on a windows 7 or Windows 10 box I get this error.

my issue is with adobe acrobat not CS , i am not sure it is applicable

I have the very same problem, and none of the answers helped.

Someone suggested extracting to the desktop, which I was doing anyway as it defaulted to that directory, but I keep getting the same error and can't install. Please help!
