Accessible PDF - a challenging issue?
I need the expert’s help!
I created a 6-pager accessible PDF file that’s full of tables and forms. Client’s request is to have one alt tag ONLY with a general introduction for the entire document.
The only way I was able to do it was to convert ALL the text throughout to paths(!), except for the Alt tag which is on page 1, so that when the ‘Read Out Loud’ features is active it does not find any text on pages 2-6.
However the issue I am having is that when the ‘Read Out Loud’ feature is on, it reads “Warning, Empy Page” for page 2-6, which we do NOT want!
Is there a way to only have the Alt tag on page 1 to be read, but deactive this “Warning, Empy Page” messages when “Reading Out Loud” for the rest of the pages??
I am using InDesign CC (Mac) for the working file, and Adobe Acrobat X for the Accessible PDF.
Your help is very much appreciated!
