Acrobat 11.0.17 Update failes (so does 11.0.16) with missing/invalid files in Config.msi folder

I have tried multiple times now (and all have failed, or, if I "ignore" corrupted my Acrobat Pro installation forcing a re-install from scratch) trying to install updates 11.0.16 or 11.0.17. Both updates fail using the "auto-update feature" (they begin, then half way through go backwards as though a "cancel" was pressed. So, I download the manual updates, and ran them. Both fail about 1/2 way through with errors about missing or invalid .tmp files in the "C:\Config.msi" folder.  I've now failed on two different systems (Windows 7 Pro and Windows 7 Enterprise).

Systems are both Windows 7 (Pro & Enterprise). One is Thinkpad T440s, other is Thinkpad T410s.

Help?

Hi bradleyv10

Please try once to uninstall application using Acrobat cleaner tool Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs  and restart your system.

Then try to re-install application from this link : Download Pro or Standard versions of Acrobat DC, XI, or X

Refer this link for update application : Release Notes | Adobe Acrobat, Reader

Also refer the troubleshooting steps provided in this KB doc : Fix Windows errors that occur during Acrobat Reader update

Let us know if you still experience the issue.
