Acrobat 9 Pro quits after launching?

I have had Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro installed on my system for years. Suddenly it is giving me a message "Licensing for this product has stopped working.

I have uninstalled and re-installed the software and am having the same problem. This forum says there is no phone support for this product. What do I do?

Mac or Windows, and EXACTLY which version of the operating system?

Recent Mac AND Windows operating systems have been known to cause "odd" problems

Are you using a computer Administrator account with full read/write permission?

Windows 10 is the operating system. It has been installed on my computer for over a year and I have not had a problem before. This message is new and random. I do have Administrator  permissions.
