Acrobat DC 15.016.20039 crashes

I have a Mac with Acrobat DC 15.016.20039 installed and the application is continually crashing.  It will just randomly close with only a apple error message stating Acrobat quit unexpectedly.   I have tried reinstalling the application twice and deleted the caches files from Application support but with no change.
