Acrobat DC export error "Save As failed to process..."

Question

I am trying to export a pdf to both/either a Word format or a Powerpoint presentation. I have been able to do this in the past, but whenever I attempt to now, I get an error message that says: Save As failed to process this document. No file was created.

I've googled and tried all suggested options already out there, nothing seems to work.

I am running on Mac Yosemite and do have the Acrobat DC PRO version.

I have save my pdfs in various ways, I have cleared preferences, I have unistalled and reinstalled and still getting the same error.

Any idea what's going on?

Just go to Edit in AdobePreferencesSecurity(enhanced)Uncheck Enable protected mode at startup(preview) and Run in App container.Close Adobe and recheck if this remains unchecked. This resolved the issue for meThanks!  Was having the same issue, followed the instructions below and this worked for me. Same here - I think this started after the latest update. I also tried all the things you've indicated, and nothing so far has helped. There is an older post that recommends saving the file as a PDF/X file first and then exporting the file (How to fix save as failed to process this document. no file was created (Export PDF) ​) But that also does not work for me. This means that it's not just your computer. You may want to file a bug report: Feature Request/Bug Report Form
