This morning, Acrobat DC began crashing every time it is opened. Most of the time before a PDF is opened. Occasionally a file will open for a split second then crash. It will crash opening via any method

Yesterday evening at 5:15pm, it had been working fine. I use it every day.

I have updated all CC apps

No other updates have been made to the system

I have shut down and rebooted

I have signed in and out of CC

I have cleared Acrobat preferences

I have tried to open Acrobat DC via Applications > Adobe Acrobat DC > Adobe Acrobat.app, via Creative Cloud > Apps > Acrobat DC > Open

I have followed the "apps crashing immediately after launch" Adobe Creative Cloud applications close immediately after launch

Mac 10.11.13

iMac 27" Mid-2011

3.4GHz Core i7

16GB 1333MHz DDR3

AMD Radeon HD 6970M 2048MB

This behavior has brought work to a standstill on this computer.

Has anyone overcome this? I have found numerous other reports in the forums but not resolution.

Hi squidz ,

Please create a new user account with the Admin rights on Mac, login to the new user account & then install Acrobat Pro DC.

And then check for the same.

I used the Acrobat Uninstaller and reinstalled and it appears to be working at the moment. However, I did this with my current user that has admin rights before your post and will see if it remains stable for the time being.

Thanks for the info. That will be the next step if the issue arises again.
