Acrobat DC unable to find the scanner connected to Windows 10 Home but Windows can

Hello everyone,

I'm struggling to get Acrobat DC and Photoshop CC to scan from my HP printer/scanner connected via a wireless network.  Acrobat DC reports no scanners found so I have to use a browser to perform the scan which works every time.  So my question is which port does Acrobat DC and Photoshop use so I can check whether these ports are being blocked by another application.  Many thanks and kind regards,

Paul D

Have you installed the scanner driver? Those apps won't reach out using a browser.

Hi Guys,

Many thanks for your very helpful answers.  I had to reinstall the drivers for the scanner and then I was able to scan directly from Acrobat DC..  The problem is now resolved.

Kind regards
