Acrobat documentation: dead and foul links everywhere

As a frequent user of the acrobat documentation, I run into dead and non-functional links everywhere.

Without my bookmarks, I would have to give up if I was just relying on Google. Some highly indexed pages on Adobe docs have become useless.

Some starters for badly maintained documentation:

https://www.adobe.io/apis/documentcloud/acrobat/docs.html

  • Individual section links under headings are just one block-link to the last section (e.g. all links under “Javascript for Acrobat” link to “Batch Sequences”)

https://www.adobe.com/devnet/acrobat/javascript.html

It would be really helpful to developers if Adobe could clear up these pages.

The documentation website also has a contact page on https://www.adobe.io/contactus.html, but -- sure enough -- the contact email (dl-io-website-help@adobe.com) bounces back as well...

For me the real problem is that in the documentation available in 2020 there are passages that have not been updated for more than 20 years !!!

There are still passages where it talks about Mac OS 9 (before Mac OS X) and its limitations.

Especially with regard to TTS methods.

Info: Acrobat 9 is old and unsupported.

So? How is this relevant?

Because you're trying links to the Acrobat 9 SDK. Why would Adobe keep offering the SDK for an unsupported product? That will encourage development for old versions, the exact opposite of what is good for their profits.

Suggest you download the SDK and use it locally. Less subject to webmaster's carelessness.

True, but everytime I have to access the documentation from mobile or a different user's PC, I google it and end up on those sucker pages that link nowhere or on the pdf of the 2006 standard.
