Acrobat lost te registration info and tell me its a bogus copy

Question

I moved. When I moved, the HD of my PC got corrupted and I had to restore nearly everything from a backup. When I did that, Acrobat must have lost something because now it keeps popping up a warning that says my copy is not genuine. But it certainly IS genuine, and I've had it for years running fine until I moved.

I have no idea where my manuals are or if I even took them with me when I moved. I certainly did not take any installation materials. I used to work in IT and didnt bother registering SW because I updated too frequently to bother. Now I'm retired. This is Abobe Acrobat X Pro. How do I correct this problem and get rid of these nag popups from Adobe?

uninstall your current acrobat (after making sure you have your serial number secured)

clean per Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs

restart your computer

reinstall your acrobat using the installation file(s) and your serial number.
