Acrobat Pro 9 reinstall issue (OSX 10.11.2)

Hi,

A few years ago, I bought a CS5 Suite (Mac) which includes Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro. It has worked fine until I recently made a clean install of OS X El Capitan. The issue sounds exactly like this post:  Acrobat Pro 9 reinstall issue (OSX 10.10.3)

Unfortunately, Adobe has not provided an answer on how to solve that issue, that is why I am reposting it again (as this is the only way to get in touch). I do understand that the product is quite old, but anyway I should be able to use it - I am not asking for updates, bugfixes etc. The other applications like Photoshop CS5 are working fine. Why not Acrobat?!

Any helpful response to this is highly appreciated!

Thank you.

Hi sebastiank99663506,

Acrobat 9 is not compatible with Mac OS above 10.5, please make sure you are using the application on a compatible platform Adobe Acrobat system requirements.

In a non-compatible environment application may or may not work.

Regards,

Aadesh
