ACROBAT PRO DC WILL NOT INSTALL

When installing acrobat pro dc I go to open it and it says: Installation Problem: IMSLib not found. Acrobat services will not work and behind that box "Adobe Application Manager, required to start your trial, is missing or damaged. Please download a new copy of Adobe Application Manager from http://www.adobe.com/go/applicationmanager". When I do that then I get an error that says: We've encountered the following issues: Installer failed to initialize. Please download Adobe Support Advisor to detect the problem. When I click on that link it says that the Adobe Support Advisor has been discontinued.

What do I need to do to get this program to work?

Thanks!

Step. 1: if win os, clean per http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html

Step. 2: Manual Deletion of C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\acrobat

Step. 3: Manual Deletion of C:\Users\<your user id>\AppData\Local\Adobe\acrobat

Step. 4: Installation of Acrobat DC available at Download Pro or Standard versions of Acrobat DC, XI, or X.
